First, IT'S NOT RAINING!! Yay!! and doesnt look like it will so come on out! People are here, Veggies are here.

Sorry to report our egg vendor could not be here today and due to the heavy rain earlier in the week our strawberries were damaged so there will bew ample supplies of fresh, homemade Strrawberry Jam next week! (We hope!)

Great day at the Market!

With great weather and a wonderful turn-out, The Dallas Farmers Market had a banner opening day! We were loaded with ample supplies of Strawberries, cabbage, lettuce, and potted tomato basil and pepper plants to start you own garden

Tomorrow is the opening day for the 2012 season of the Dallas Farmers Market. The Market will coincide with the Annual Dallas Garage Sale on Main Street in downtown Dallas, GA.
The market will open at 8 am and close at 4 pm. with the garage sale. Beginning April 21st Normal hours will for the market will be held from 8 -1 each Saturday throuout the remaining spring, summer and fall months.
As you can see we will have fresh strawberries, cabbage, broccoli and lettuce just to name a few. We will have Tomato plants,  several varieties. 
We also want to take this opportunity to welcome new vendors  MOON ORGANICS, AND PATTERSON PLANTS.  Please come and lets make them feel welcome. 
Also The Cupcakery Bakery will be having their Grand opening tomorrow and will start serving breakfast at 6 am.  They are in the building next to the market, formerly the Cajun Cafe.  WE ALL WISH ASHLEY AND HER FAMILY WELL ON THERE NEW VENTURE.

Spring is HERE, Vendor meeting announced

  We, the committee and vendors of The Dallas FArmers Market want to thank you for your continued support and patronage through the winter but now that spring here the time for planning for the new season is upon us. On Saturday March 31st, 2012 at 1:30 PM we will hold a meeting open to all vendors interested in joining us for the 2012 season.

  The meeting is at Ryan's Restaraunt located at 55 Pace Court, Hiram GA. Purchase of a meal is not required to attend the meeting.

The only change of note is that the annual fee for being a vendor has gone up from $25 to $30 to help defray costs associated with promotions and advertising to help attract attention.

First official day of the new season will be Saturday April 14th and coinsides with the City of Dallas annual Community Yard Sale. So there is certain to be plenty of people around to visit the market.

If you are unable to attend the meeting, please click on the link to the right "Become a Vendor" and print the new application and submit your fee and application on opening day. If you attend the meeting be prepared to pay your fees there.
