HI ALL,
  
Tomorrow is the opening day for the 2012 season of the Dallas Farmers Market. The Market will coincide with the Annual Dallas Garage Sale on Main Street in downtown Dallas, GA.
The market will open at 8 am and close at 4 pm. with the garage sale. Beginning April 21st Normal hours will for the market will be held from 8 -1 each Saturday throuout the remaining spring, summer and fall months.
  
As you can see we will have fresh strawberries, cabbage, broccoli and lettuce just to name a few. We will have Tomato plants,  several varieties. 
  
We also want to take this opportunity to welcome new vendors  MOON ORGANICS, AND PATTERSON PLANTS.  Please come and lets make them feel welcome. 
  
Also The Cupcakery Bakery will be having their Grand opening tomorrow and will start serving breakfast at 6 am.  They are in the building next to the market, formerly the Cajun Cafe.  WE ALL WISH ASHLEY AND HER FAMILY WELL ON THERE NEW VENTURE.

Spring is HERE, Vendor meeting announced

  We, the committee and vendors of The Dallas FArmers Market want to thank you for your continued support and patronage through the winter but now that spring here the time for planning for the new season is upon us. On Saturday March 31st, 2012 at 1:30 PM we will hold a meeting open to all vendors interested in joining us for the 2012 season.

  The meeting is at Ryan's Restaraunt located at 55 Pace Court, Hiram GA. Purchase of a meal is not required to attend the meeting.


The only change of note is that the annual fee for being a vendor has gone up from $25 to $30 to help defray costs associated with promotions and advertising to help attract attention.


First official day of the new season will be Saturday April 14th and coinsides with the City of Dallas annual Community Yard Sale. So there is certain to be plenty of people around to visit the market.


If you are unable to attend the meeting, please click on the link to the right "Become a Vendor" and print the new application and submit your fee and application on opening day. If you attend the meeting be prepared to pay your fees there.

Still up and Kicking...all through the Winter!

Hey folks, if you follow this website it may have appeared that we went silent for a while, (Well we did) but we want to assure you that our winter market is still alive and meeting every Saturday from 9AM till 1PM!

  Some of your favorites are still there like Anne's Preserves and Delights. I just delved into a jar of Spicy Dill Pickles that are going to be a regular in my pantry from now on! Rosemary Knoll and their selection of Salsas, pestos, fudge, and seasoned nuts!

   Some Newer faces have started gracing our lot such as Rene's Cupcakes and Cookies. Rene makes some very tasty Red Velvet, cupcakes that compliment a selection of Apple, Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry ond other flavors, also available in a vegan style as well.

Smith Farms free range chicken eggs. A word: "Incredible"

Gladys's Breads is here with Biscotti, with apple bread, and Freckle bread, and other varieties as her time and imagination permits!

There are 2 upcoming events sponsored by our good friends at the Paulding County Master Gardener Extension Volunteers:

  • First is the Arbor Day Tree Giveaway on February 17, 2012. Every person attending will receive a choice of 2 bare root trees to plant in their yard, and instructions on how and where to plant. Click here to download and print a brochure with times and locations.
  • Joining with the Gardeners is the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension, and Paulding County 4H to bring you Spring Forward Paulding Saturday March 10th 2012. this event will feature keynote speaker Walter Reeves of PBS's Your Southern Garden show.
